Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your FindATalk account and the data tied to it. FindATalk is made by CaptainFun333.

Delete it yourself in the app

1. Open FindATalk and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete My Account and confirm.

This works the same in the iPhone, Android, and website versions. It can't be undone, so consider exporting a backup first (Settings → Export Backup).

What gets deleted

• Your account (sign-in details such as your email address and name).
• Everything synced to it in the cloud: Favorites, read marks and reading history, notes, lists, and streak.
• Your membership in any shared lists. Lists other people are still using stay with them; the list is handed to another member, and a list with no one left is deleted.
• The local data on the device you deleted from.

What may be kept

If you ever made a donation, the record of it (the amount and year) is not removed automatically when you delete your account. Payment details are never held by us; they are handled by Apple, Google, or Stripe. To have a donation record removed as well, email us at the address below.

Delete some of your data without deleting your account

You can remove individual Favorites, notes, and lists in the app at any time. To have other specific data removed from our servers, email b.christensen333@gmail.com from the address on your account and tell us what to remove. We will do it and reply to confirm.

Can't get into the app?

If you can't sign in, email us from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm it's you and delete the account and its data.
